HAPPY TOGETHER 貌合神離 

Focus on creating a dialogue between space and visual elements from 2D to 3D in the hope of inviting viewers to rethink their perception of the artwork when they unfold it.  The holes further open up space and add a new dimension and depth to the whole piece.

The selection of aluminum rather than canvas as its cold surface translates an indifference in a relationship that fits well with the contradiction in the meaning between the English title and the Chinese title --- ‘seemingly in harmony but actually at variance’, particularly today’s world is becoming more complex.

Employing an appealing geometric shapes on the cover in an attempt to conceive the messages for the viewers to find out from the negative space and create paradoxical layers of meaning which generate loose associations rather than narrowly defined statements.
