The series of works are inspired by COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown measurements that led to social isolation causing an increase in mental distress, depression and anxiety.  Through an empty chair, the artist expresses feeling of loneliness and a desire to return to normal.  The scale and placement of a chair create emptiness and a tension in space which is perceived by humans has emotional connections.  The structure of forms, space and dark tones in the composition represent a response to the surrealism which illustrates the world of nature and exposition dominated over expressive function.
